2. ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Exchange program is for students in BUFS’s partner universities who wish to study at BUFS for one or two semesters and transfer credits to their home institution. To be an exchange student, candidates must be officially nominated by their home institution and pay the tuition fee at their home institution.

2. ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
All applicants for exchange program must choose one college and department as their affiliation and in general, applicants choose one that most suits their academic background or study abroad purpose. Students can, however, take other unrestricted courses from different colleges and departments.

RESTRICTION
All majors, with the exception of the Global Talent Convergence Major, are instructed in Korean. Therefore, applicants cannot choose a different major unless your TOPIK score is level 3 or higher.
Applicants who wish to study a major other than Global Talent Convergence Major must, in advance, be advised of the program availability by BUFS exchange program coordinators.

4. Document Submission

1 | Online Application Once officially nominated by home university, applicants will receive detailed information on how to log in and file an application from the designated BUFS coordinator. | - Exchange program applicants should upload the scanned copies of the documents below to the application system. |
2 | Certificate of Enrollment of Home University | Exchange program applicants from non-OECD countries, the Certificate of Enrollment has to be either “Apostille” certified (if your country is a member nation in the Hague convention) or “Korean consul” certified with a notarized copy of English translation attached if the original documents are not in English. |
3 | A copy of Bank Balance | -Statement of Bank Balance with at least KRW 8 million per semester(For a two-semester exchange, the required amount is KRW 16 million.) |
4 | A copy of Passport | - The passport must be valid during the prospective stay in Korea. |
5 | TOPIK Score result | ONLY If it applies to applicants |
5. Screening Procedure
BUFS initially receives and reviews all applications to see if all the requirements have been met. The applications are then forwarded to the screening committee of BUFS OIA. During the assessment, not every applicant will be successful; some may be rejected if their credentials do not meet the committee’s expectation. When the decisions are made, BUFS OIA will announce the acceptance results to all applicants and home university.
6. Acceptance Package
After receiving approval from the Korean Immigration, BUFS will email the “Certificate of Admission” along
with other visa application documents to you.
